Little Miss S was one of the most alert little 10-day-olds we’ve had the pleasure of photographing. We first met the Khatri family when we documented her big brother Y’s first birthday cake smash session some 3 years ago, and are always grateful to meet growing families. As newborn and baby photographers, we never fail to appreciate how fortunate we are to be able to watch families grow with us. It’s a tremendous honour, really. Don’t let the closed eyes in the below photos fool you, Miss S was totally awake for over half the session. She followed my every move and stared me down every chance she had. It’s so lucky when we are able to take some awake shots as well as sleepy ones. We also love capturing the unrestrained expressions of glee of older children when they meet their new sibling. Master Y was the perfect doting big brother. Always wanting kisses and hugs, he was the perfect, gentle protector of his little sister the entire session.
